iSeismometer

Start iSeismometer, leave it on your desk, then try tap somewhere. You will realize how sensitive iPhone is!
This is our new project to convert iPhone to seismometer. We created for fun and educational use, such as data collecting device.
Please feel free to give us suggestion and feedback (iphone@objectgraph.com).
[Instructions and Information]
-iSeismometer stores 10 seconds of data. Recording duration will be increased in a future version.
-If you suspend recording, you can drag the screen to re-track the previous data.
-Submit data on the website with your location info.
-You can also customize the target URL. See our website (http://iphone.objectgraph.com/iseismometer/) for more details.
-Send the URL to your email address so that you can easily download the data as csv file.
-Spectrum shows the Hz
-Alarm to detect a sudden motion
-Adjustable sampling rate
-Realtime Drawing On/Off
-Timeline Drawing On/Off
-X-Y-Z illustrated
-High-Pass Filter On/Off
– Lots of more options… See the screenshots!

We were covered in “The Independent Guide To The iPhone 3Gs” By Nik Rawlinson. Here is his review
“This is a novelty app but one that also helps you learn something new. The concept is simple. You just leave tour iPhone on hard surface with the app fired up then tap somewhere nearby and watch what happens.
It looks like something you’d find in a hospital, but it’s one of those things that is very captivating once you’ve looked at it once. In fact, we completely lost track of time when we played with this app as we tried out different tap-based compositions – MTV had nothing on us during this review.
You’ve got the ability to pause the ‘recording’ of movement around the iPhone, in addition to looking at colorful spectrum graph of what occurred in the three seconds prior to requesting that data.
We didn’t quite understand what the chart was showing us. But it looked pretty nonetheless and it’ll make you look über intelligent to anyone looking over your shoulder .
The app will monitor movement for 10 seconds and report back on the last three seconds of activity. You can then upload that data in snazzy graph format to the web for all to see. Old friends will probably think you’ve changed career.”

HVAC ResVent 62.2‎

ResVent 62.2 allows you to quickly perform comprehensive whole-building ventilation requirements for residential buildings following the most recent versions of these important standards, ASHRAE 62.2-2007 and 62.2-2010, for both new and existing dwellings.
First published in 2003, ANSI/ASHRAE 62.2, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Low-Rise Residential Buildings, sets minimum requirements for whole-building and local (bathrooms and kitchens) ventilation rates for dwellings.
ASHRAE 62.2 . . . “applies to spaces intended for human occupancy within single-family houses and multi-family structures of three stories or fewer above grade, including manufactured and modular houses.” (ASHRAE 62.2-2007 and 62.2-2010, page 2.)
Features
· Math-on-the-Fly, allowing you to calculate results within an input box, for example, you can calculate volume by entering 40*25*8. Press “Done” and the answer appears in the input box! You may use addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or exponents.
· Reporting feature allows you to e-mail a report of your entries and results back to your office or to the client.
· The weather factors – over 200 – for the U.S. and Canada are included on a picker list for easy selection. These factors are from ASHRAE Standard 136, A Method of Determining Air Change Rates in
Detached Dwellings.
· Slider controls for the easy entry of most data. The slider controls allow you to quickly perform “what-if” analysis, such as finding the measured leakage rate at which the whole-building
ventilation requirement becomes zero. You can set the slider control ranges.
· Whole-building mechanical airflow requirement result is displayed on each input screen so you can view the instantaneous result of your input changes.
· Fan Run-Time Tool for finding the number of minutes per hour your whole-building fan must operate.
· Calculation of the infiltration credit for Standards 62.2-2007 and 62.2-2010 using ASHRAE Standards 119, Air Leakage Performance for Detached Single-Family Residential Buildings; and 136, A Method of Determining Air Change Rates in Detached Dwellings. The infiltration credit is needed for determining the whole-building ventilation rates in existing dwellings.
· Alternative Compliance Tool allows you to determine the alternative compliance supplement used for existing dwellings when using Standard 62.2-2010. You may select up to five bathrooms for this
procedure. This compliance path is found in Appendix A of the 62.2-2010 standard.
· When creating a new project, you may use the included default project or any other existing project as the basis for your new one. The number of projects is only limited by the memory of your hardware.
· The global settings allow you to choose ASHRAE 62.2-2007 or ASHRAE 62.2-2010 for complete whole-building ventilation compliance with either. You may also select IP or SI units for your calculations.
· A full report of your entered data and results may be e-mailed from your iPhone, iPod, or iPad.
· Includes a comprehensive help screen.

Decibel

Decibel was used to measure the sound of super sports cars on the Season Premiere of the BBC hit show Top Gear! We are VERY proud of this! The UK top gadget site “Pocket Lint” wrote about this here: http://tiny.cc/topgear28
Since it’s release, Decibel has been one of the Top Paid apps all over the world, including:
UK, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Brazil, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal and more!
*** MacWorld Review of Decibel! ***
Decibel was just reviewed by MacWorld (29/4) and received 4 out of 5 stars in a very nice review. Check it out here (Swedish content):

*** Breaking News! ***
Decibel was featured in the BBC show Panorama – The World’s longest running investigative TV show on April 20! The host Quentin Letts use Decibel on his iPhone to measure decibel levels in regards to UK’s health and safety regulations. Check it out on http://tinyurl.com/decibelonbbc
*** iPod Touch users! ***
Please note that the iPod Touch doesn’t have a built in mic! You will need an iPhone Headset or similar to be able to use Decibel. Most of the bad reviews are due to this fact. So please don’t judge Decibel based on that. Thank you!
Description
Have you ever wondered how loud a sound is? Screaming kids, a rock concert, sport fans screaming? Wonder no more. Measure it with Decibel!
Features:
– Analog decibel meter
– Digital meter with average, peak and max decibel

More features:
– Support for turning upside down!
– Reset the Max value by tapping on it!

Hazmat Training: General Awareness/Familiarization

This app can be used to help satisfy the general awareness training requirement mandated by law. It does not include testing, only knowledge checks. Supplemental training/testing must be developed and implemented by your employer.
The eight modules in this app are designed to familiarize you with the Hazmat regulations and enable you to recognize and identify hazardous materials. They can be completed in about an hour, but with automatic bookmarking, the training can resumed at any point.
The Federal hazardous materials transportation law (49 U.S.C. § 5101 et seq.), is the basic statute regulating the transportation of hazardous materials (hazmat) in the United States. This law requires the training of ALL hazmat employees. The purpose is to increase a hazmat employee’s safety awareness and be an essential element in reducing hazmat incidents.
The Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) include training requirements in several sections of Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Completion of the modules in this app will HELP satisfy the 49 CFR, § 173.1 hazmat training requirement for general awareness training but additional training is necessary by employers to meet all training requirements.
