Ongemerkt word je vaak blootgesteld aan harde geluiden en hoge geluidniveaus.
Om je bewust te maken van het gevaar van te hard geluid, is de applicatie SafeNoise voor de iPhone ontwikkeld. Met de app meet je het geluidniveau in dB(A). Je ziet zowel het gemiddelde, als het maximale en momentane geluidniveau. Gelijktijdig geeft de app aan hoe lang je in dat geluidniveau mag verblijven voordat het geluidniveau schadelijk kan worden.
In de app is uitgegaan van de standaard gevoeligheid van de iPhone. De app bevat de mogelijkheid om je iPhone te kalibreren en dus beter af te stemmen op het werkelijke geluidniveau. Je hebt daarvoor wel een geschikte geluidmeter nodig.
Je meetresultaten kun je opslaan in het geluiddagboek en bekijken door middel van grafieken. Je kunt je meetresultaten ook mailen om te verwerken in andere programma’s.
Tip: gebruik geen leestekens in de omschrijving bij je grafiek. Dat geeft rare resultaten. De grafiek software kan er niet goed mee omgaan.

Fatigue Calculator Corporate‎

The Fatigue Calculator forecasts the likelihood of fatigue over a 24-hour period. Based on Prior Sleep Wake Algorithm, it is a international fatigue assessor that is legally and scientifically defensible; and is endorsed by Centre for Sleep Research and the University of South Australia.
This is the corporate version of the Fatigue Calculator and requires a user name and password from www.fatiguecalculator.com.au. Once you have registered, data can be sent to the listed email address and the Fatigue Manager reporting system. Registering usernames and passwords is $24.95. (Fatigue Manager reporting will be available mid-2011)
You can also download a version of the Fatigue Calculator that does not collect data for $4.99.
When used at the beginning of a work shift, the Fatigue Calculator will forecast what an individual’s fatigue score will be for their entire shift and commute home. This allows for planned management of fatigue in the workplace without negatively impacting on production or operations.
